Even that's not entirely accurate. They have a handful of spells that do a lot of damage. They have a few spells that don't to great damage, but do damage on par with their energy cost. The rest are utility spells or crap.

But you are correct that of the ones that actually dish out good damage, the DPS sucks because of cast time, recharge, or exhaustion.

no. it's because they're freakin noooooobs. fire seems like a good idea at first.

And how efficient is this? What's your damage going to be like? Very fragile.

This really doesn't have anything to do with how bad elementalist damage/energy recover/ energy storage is.
